Italian Donuts

I saw these Italian Donuts, called Zeppoli, on My Kitchen Rules UK. Contestants Steph & Gabi made Zeppoli with 3 dipping sauces, custard – which everyone loved so much, and I believe the other two were toffee and chocolate. Everyone raved about it being some of the best donuts they had ever eaten. The contestants almost seemed to love those donuts against their will. Even the judges wanted the recipe.

I was a woman obsessed.. I had to find this recipe.. Or go to the UK and eat La Dolce Dolls (Steph and Gabi’s team) Zeppoli.

I scoured the internet looking for recipes. I learned all about these fried dough treats called Zeppole. But they didn’t quite look and feel like the donuts I was looking for.

So I was beyond happy when the La Dolce Dolls themselves were so kind awesome and wonderful so share their recipe with me.

It’d been a long time since I was so excited about a recipe. And with good reason. The La Dolce Dolls twist on Zeppoli is so just clever..and light and moist and delicious and easy! I think its rather brilliant. You can find the recipe here.
